Cambodian Rice Festival 2014



Academy C students enjoyed a day of networking, food tasting and performance watching at this year’s Cambodian Rice Festival.

Students got the opportunity to practice the confidence skills they have been developing in Science of Life Class. They were eager to meet and discuss different topics with local University students as well as business men and women from Cambodia and overseas.

This experience gave them confirmations that their English ability can match anyone; even in an international environment.

GDI-AHHA Education students were very happy eating traditional rice dishes such as Italian risotto, Spanish Paella, Malaysian Chicken rice, Chinese pork rice balls and of course Cambodian sticky rice with Mango!

At the end of the day they were treated with Khmer classical performances and folk dances, used to portray cultural traditions of Cambodia.

We hope to see the students trying some of these techniques at next Friday’s social night!
