AHHA Education works with a network of dedicated education contractors to deliver our nationwide programs in Timor-Leste. Our collaborative approach ensures we are building a holistic model of learning that prepares people for both academic success and life.
AHHA Education has entered into a landmark collaboration with the Vice Prime Minister and the Ministry of Rural Development. Together, we are implementing programs in 70 rural locations, focusing on language training in English and Portuguese, Life Sciences for health and sustainable living, and income generation skills to support livelihoods. This partnership reflects a shared vision of reducing inequality, strengthening rural communities, and empowering individuals to build a better future.
In partnership with Universidade da Paz (UNPAZ), one of Timor-Leste’s largest private universities, AHHA Education is teaching 3,000 first-semester students. The program emphasizes English, Portuguese, Life Sciences, leadership, and entrepreneurship—equipping students with the tools they need for academic success and meaningful careers.
AHHA Education is also working closely with the Ministry of Education—through both the Minister’s Protocol Office and the Secretary of State for Education—to strengthen staff development. This collaboration focuses on enhancing staff knowledge and improving English speaking skills, ensuring that education professionals are better equipped to serve their students.
Looking ahead, AHHA Education will work with the Ministry of Education’s INFORDEPE department to provide English training for 258 Cycle 3 teachers across Timor-Leste. By strengthening teacher capacity, this program will directly impact thousands of students, raising the standard of English education nationwide.
AHHA Education is also providing English programs for communities affected by the Tasi Mane petroleum project, under the guidance of the Ministry of Petroleum. By equipping these communities with language and communication skills, the program ensures that they can better adapt, find opportunities, and benefit from the country’s development initiatives.
